About Toni
Each day, I get to work in my own little private oasis in my garden. I studied Art and Design in the UK and since moving to New Zealand, I have studied to become a registered anaesthetic technician. This is where my introduction to handling needles started, just not the same needles that I handle in the studio. I have sterilisation, anatomy and art qualifications which work cohesively to produce great outcomes for my customers.
I still work in the hospital setting and split my time between there and the studio to give me the best work-life balance. I believe this balance allows me to create truly custom pieces and give you that one-to-one experience for your forever art. You're not just the next walk in; we work collaboratively to create your unique, custom, personal pieces of art.
My art style has changed and evolved continuously over the years. This has made me adaptable, but I do have my own preferred style. I would describe this to be a fine line illustration with a hint of realism thrown in now and then. You may have heard of stipple, dot, whip and pepper. That is how I like to bring my art to life. I love floral designs but my favourite tattoo of all time was a snake, so go figure?
If you are after a multicolour masterpiece, I'm not the right artist for you. I specialise in black and white and will add in accent colours on special request.
